UK Power Networks is the Distribution Network Operator for London, the South East and East of England, responsible for running and maintaining the power cables across your area.
National Grid owns the high-voltage electricity transmission network in England and Wales. Local operators like UK Power Networks then take this power to deliver it at a lower voltage to local homes and businesses.
Homes England are funding the project through a government capital grant programme called the Housing Infrastructure Fund. The stipulation of this funding is that the development must be completed prior to the end of 2024.
Central Bedfordshire Council are investing funds secured from the Housing Infrastructure Fund to enable the development of the Biggleswade Substation project.
We would like to hear your feedback on our proposals, including any queries or concerns you may have. Your views are important to us and will help inform our plans as we continue to develop the proposed scheme.
